The first game of Krylya Sovetov in the Championship of the USSR (2nd group) took place on June, 4, 1945 on the Kuibyshev stadium Lokomotiv before 10000 spectators. The other team was Torpedo from Gorky. The match ended in a draw (1:1). Krylya Sovetov took the 1st place that year and gained the right to participate among the strongest teams in the Championship of the following year.
The first match of Krylya Sovetov in the higher division of the USSR took place on April, 21, 1946 in Alma-Ata. Krylya lost the game to Zenit of Leningrad (2:1). The first person to score a goal for Krylya in the higher division was Viktor Novikov. By coincidence, the teams first victory in the higher division was over Zenit. The home team lost to Krylya (2:0), the goals were scored by Anatoly Korotkov and Ivan Pukalo.
Krylya participated in 48 seasons of the championships of the USSR, 26 of which in the higher division, 13 in the first and 9 in the second.
